BTC’s vision as the National Governing Body (NGB) for Taekwondo in the United Kingdom, is making a difference for all Taekwondo participants, grassroots to elite, beginner to instructor, and as such promote the martial art, sport, study and practice of Taekwondo
Vision Into Reality
SYSTEMIC
Through effective leadership, BTC will collaborate with our stakeholders, learning from shared experience and insight to better enable us to respond to the needs of underrepresented groups, to engage them in sport and physical activity.
GOVERNING
To effectively promote inclusion within all aspects of Taekwondo business, participation, national and international links, demonstrating the professionalism of the BTC as a credible, respected governing body working to tackle inequities and support the ambitions of Uniting The Movement through effective governance, engagement with membership, safeguarding and opportunities from grassroots to elite participants.
DELIVERY
BTC will constantly review and, based on insight and learning, refresh our presentation of a traditional martial art in a way which fulfils the original intention – to be in competition with yourself, and which delivers particular benefits to females, those with disabilities and those lacking in confidence, which reflect the ambitions expressed in tackling inequalities and Uniting The Movement.
